i knew when i posted that part i didn’t say it right.

Yeah you’re half right, I mean what made me think of it is that a part of the plot of the show we were watching is that people are basically woken up in this town with a temporary fog/medical amnesia that starts to abate later, once they’ve fully fallen into a pattern of relatively stress-free if unproductive work in this idyllic town. But maybe he didn’t want to think about how how any component of the show could relate to real life, or hell, maybe he was humoring me and was actually staring into the ether just zoning out. I could see where my line of inquiry could be jarring in that scenario.
Yes, drugging someone without their consent and with the intention of compromising their mental state so they can be coerced into sex is 100% rape.
