You're meeting up for drinks, if it gets to a point where you're deciding where to go you could say you still live! with your parents and they're sleeping/have to get up early for work. I don't think I could argue with that especially if I online alone. I would assume she doesn't really want to sneak around your parents house either lol and I guess you could maybe throw in a joke about that. Just let the night go where it takes the two of you. If you end up deciding you both just want to go home and meet up another time, that might be what happens as well. Most of us mid-twenties peeps live with our parents so the ones who don't usually host.
I don’t think it’s a weird phenomenon. I think it’s a reflection of our patriarchal culture. While we are trying to do better, we still treat men like they can’t be care takers, they simply can’t handle it, where as woman MUST be care takers. We know both to be untrue, but this is still the culture around us. I’m just as alarmed by the really low rate from woman that I am the high rate from men, as I wonder how many woman are trapped in 24/7 caretaking and don’t know how to get help out have outlets.
It is petty but I kind if like it. Turn off the water supply and see what she does.
