In 2017 I made some radical changes, because my ex and I were making really unhealthy choices. I begged him along the way to make the changes with me. He didn’t, said he didn’t need to. Now it’s 2023, and I’m months from finishing my military contract, I’m buying a house within the next year, and got a great remote job. Im in great physical shape and I have a ton of friends.

I mean, you hurt her. You want to play the technicality game go for it but that won't really ever change the fact that you acknowledge you'd be hurt if she did the same, though at least you sort of humoured the idea it might while she didn't at all so she took the full brunt of that kick to the stomach. If saying it wasn't formally cheating helps you sleep at night then yes, fine, it wasn't formally cheating because you two didn't technically set boundaries.
I don't think that will help her though. The fact it was alcohol, that it was regrettable, that it was not technically cheating… you already know those things won't really convince her that this was okay. Likely one of her big fears about distance were confirmed.
Just give her time. It may be that she never really gets over it, if that is the case you reflect on your relationship with alcohol moving forwards.

It’s super weird. Men are weird creatures. Not all men are like this—I think men with younger sisters tend to be better adjusted to treating women like actual human beings.
But men with no sisters or only older sisters have the tendency to view women as foreign objects.
And it’s totally not true for all men at all, my roommate has only brothers, but he’s the sweetest guy I’ve ever met and treats me and every woman with respect.
Do you know how common affairs are?? Did you know 84% of affairs begin as “innocent” “platonic” friendships? Every single couples therapist will encourage strong boundaries around friendships and even ending friendships of it threatens the monogamous relationship.
Her concerns and feelings are not “irrational”. Calling woman irrational for normal feelings is so dated. Wake up.

One of my past stalkers was my exes current at that time girlfriend. For some reason she was insanely jealous of me. This went on online, and on my phone. In all fairness I would not be surprised if ex of mine kept throwing me in her face. Many times I really wanted to let her have it. I haven't read many other comments so sorry if someone already said this, but it sounds like she's trying to find a way out of the relationship with an actual reason (you not trusting her and fighting a lot) other than “I found someone I think I am more compatible with” unfortunately, that does happen especially when you havent been dating too long, but to keep you stringing along and make you feel like your feelings aren't valid is wrong. If she really cared about your relationship, she would respect your boundaries and stop talking to him.
Basically, what I'm saying is, it's time to go. Whether she's cheating on you or not, what she is doing isn't right, and it's taking a toll on you mentally that it shouldn't be.
