I was on and off of both zoloft (setraline) and wellbutrin for the past 3 years. I started stimulants (adderall and then vyvanse + an adderall booster) a little over a year ago (on top of both setraline and wellbutrin). I also started working 3xs a week for a year and a half and seeing a nutritionist, and I couldn't lose a single pound despite consistently being in a calorie deficit. I finally weaned off of the setraline and lost 8lbs in one week. I know that's not even a healthy about of weight to lose, but I was so shocked at how quickly I shed weight just by stopping one of my medications (some might be muscle loss because I stopped working out once I got so frustrated at doing everything “right” and not losing weight). Since then, my weight loss has been a lot lower on a weekly basis, but I'm happy with the healthy rate at which I'm finally losing weight. I finally feel motivated to work out again too, which is great.
It kinda sounds like she is enjoying the friendship. And it's usually a bad idea to date a coworker, especially if you are her superior. Maybe you should spend less time with her for your own sanity?

Why not plan yourself a birthday dinner or something, and invite your friends? Then you will get birthday wishes and better friendships while doing fun things (and hopefully drinking free drinks)
